W.S.G. Mike and The Moonpies

Formed in Jacksonville, Fla. in 1971, Molly Hatchet emerged with their own brand of gritty southern rock that took the world by storm in the late 70’s. The band’s 1978 self-titled album earned Platinum designation after selling more than 1 million copies.

Molly Hatchet’s 1979 album, “Flirtin’ with Disaster,” went on to earn Triple-Platinum status as it peaked at #19 on the U.S. charts. The title track remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 10 weeks. The band released their third studio album, “Beatin’ the Odds,” the following year to Platinum success. Since 1978, Molly Hatchet has released 14 studio albums.

Molly Hatchet is comprised of Jimmy Elkins on lead vocals; Dave Hlubek on guitar and backup vocals; Bobby Ingram on lead guitars; Tim Lindsey on bass; John Galvin on keyboards; and Shawn Beamer on drums.
