The talented quartet combines two sets of brothers, the Scahill brothers Enda and Fergal; and Howley brothers David and Martin. With inspiration from the Irish and American music they listened to growing up, the group began performing together in 2011 and released their first album, “Roots of the Banjo Tree” in 2012. Their debut was lauded by “The Irish Times” as Traditional Album of the Year, and the group shot to fame.
Most recently, the group released “String Theory” in 2016, which hit #1 on the Billboard Worlds Chart at its release. The group has received accolades from the Irish Music Rights Organization and was hand-selected to perform at the U.S. Congress’ “Friends of Ireland” luncheon in 2016, where the group performed for top politicians in the United States, the Prime Minister of Ireland and President Barack Obama.
