KILLER QUEEN
8pm, Friday, April 26th, 2019
One of the most iconic, dynamic, and unique vocalists in the history of rock and roll, Freddie Mercury fronted the band Queen for just over two decades. Patrick Myers has embodied Mercury onstage now for 25 years in Killer Queen, arguably the best Queen tribute band in the world.
What started as a one-off, student show in 1993 by tribute band Killer Queen in London, has turned into a career. Killer Queen became so popular, that in 2009 they began selling out the exact same arenas in Europe as Queen had done in the 70’s and 80’s.
Killer Queen’s continued success can be attributed, in part, to their work to stay true to Queen’s original showmanship. The attention to detail, dedication, and respect in their tribute is essential to the energy of their performance. Not only does Killer Queen perform all of Queen’s classics such as “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” and “We Are the Champions,” but also deeper tracks like “Who Wants to Live Forever” and “Tie Your Mother Down.”
Joining Myers on tour in 2019’s Killer Queen are Simon Small on guitar, Brian Waissman on bass, and Jon Howells on drums.
